Probably ditching the picture and getting the fonts punched up a little bit. Mostly, need to figure out what historical fiction / biography covers are supposed to look like.

Since this is a first draft, I really just focus on the dialogue and some of the more important details. I did a bit of research for this era ahead of time to keep myself from too many anachronisms, but those are extra details I’ll add in with future refined drafts where I have the time to polish.

Mostly in the moment stuff. But certain events certainly carry over to the drama that takes place in other moments.

I mean, there are the noted historical events like her father denying her engagement to Robert, the May Uprising in Dresden where she went in to rescue her children, and Robert punching Liszt in the face during a performance at their home.

It’s obviously her story, but I couldn’t really ignore her family (her father), husband (Robert), or other contemporary musicians (Liszt, Brahms, Joachim, Mendelssohn).

2 ways: reduce the total words you want to write or increase the amount of days you think you can write.
Since I’m used to the 30-day limit for November, I know there is an end in sight and can usually maintain a 2k word count each day.
You can also take a break for a night if you’re feeling burnout
