No response yet from Youngkin or Sheridan afaik. I mean, what can you even say to such utter demolition? Basically all they could do is accuse Ryan of lying. And a side-by-side reading makes it clear who is more believable. I think Youngkin's only play is to throw Sheridan under the bus. Roadkill.
Jim Ryan Breaks Silence on UVA Resignation
The former University of Virginia president who resigned abruptly in June accused the board of being dishonest about the circumstances of his exit and complicit in his ouster.

She made Youngkin look like a befuddled sweater-vested amateur. I'm still grinning. Omg do not mess with wonder woman. This is exactly the kind of top shelf cut throat politics we need from a war time governor. It is so on.

Ryan is a respected professor of law. His notes are tremendously detailed. Sheridan is now roadkill. Youngkin is a lame duck liar whose little remaining influence is gone. Even Miyares' career might be over. And she's only been the Governor-elect for a week! She's not even sworn in! Oh my god.

She sends out a modest letter saying wait to replace Jim Ryan until vacancies are filled. Youngkin takes the bait, sends out his letter. Youngkin-appointee Rector Rachel Sheridan duly sends out her letter corroborating Youngkin. And then BAM, Jim Ryan sends out 12 pages of contemporaneous notes.

Jim alleges that the US DOJ told a UVA Board of Visitors member that, if the president did not resign, they would "bleed UVA white." I want to reiterate that, regardless of my issues with Jim Ryan as president, he is a respected professor of the law so I believe his contemporaneous notes.

Primarily focused on the DOJ role in this but, as a higher ed scholar, I can't help but notice that UVA admin seemed a bit credulous. It feels like he genuinely thought he could satisfy the DOJ, and I just never believed that could happen.

I’ve worked with Beth. It’s fucking incomprehensible that someone as smart as her would begin a conversation with a (potentially adverse) unrepresented party without providing some sort of Upjohn-type warning about who she represents. That’s something they teach you on day one of white collar work.
