Given the escalated behaviour of ice Dems should insist on legislated due process for ice agents - that is name, badge number and agency, obligation to advise what offence committed, and where detained. There is no good reason that Ice are not doing these thing (but plenty of bad ones).

@gtconway.bsky.social it would be good to examine how the SC dealt with insurrection in the 14 amendment case. While the SC was not sure waht it meant in that case, I will wager they have no problem in circumstances where the Insurrection Act is invoked. Next time uou chat to Sarah.

Health care is important but passed legislation forcing any federal law enforcement to have to show badge number and name in order to lawfully exercise any power must be the price of keeping government open. There can be no legal use of force if those using it cannot be identified.
