Pleased to be able to share our latest work on mitochondrial ABHD11 and its role in regulating T-cell function.

Really cool to get to co-author this one with my sister as well.

Massive thank you as always to everyone who's been involved with the project.

Ecstatic to share out latest research looking at the role of mitochondrial ABHD11 in controlling T-cell responses. We think this may be a viable target for autoimmunity. Please do give it a read, we would love to hear your thoughts.

Mitochondrial ABHD11 inhibition drives sterol metabolism to modulate T-cell effector function - Nature Communications
α/β-hydrolase domain-containing protein 11 (ABHD11) is a mitochondrial hydrolase, and its expression in CD4 + T-cells has been linked to remission status in rheumatoid arthritis. Here the authors repo...

Really pleased to share the labs first publication in paediatric T-cell leukaemia. We find that the type 2 diabetes drug canagliflozin possesses anti-leukaemic effects that can be enhanced via dietary restriction of serine.

ABHD11 inhibition drives sterol metabolism to modulate T cell effector function and alleviate autoimmunity
Chronic inflammation in autoimmunity is driven by T cell hyperactivation. This unregulated response to self is fuelled by heightened metabolic programmes, which offers a promising new direction to unc...
