The "subscription" model assumes high use. Toilet paper sales assume > a roll/person/week; laundry and dishwasher consumables likewise overestimate use. Do others really burn through resources without hesitation, or are vendors trying to guilt-trip us all into overuse?

Dear @bto-gbw.bsky.social - I just found a dead blackbird. I then spent 10 minutes trying to get registered with the BTO and, when finally there, I went back to the link to report and STILL can't get through. If you want people to report, make it easier.

Is it just me? In the past few weeks, a number of #AmazonPrime deliveries have slipped a day or two. When the order is placed, the website says "To arrive tomorrow" but then tomorrow brings an update: "Order expected tomorrow". For this paid service it seems price goes up but service goes down.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

I like eBay: been in for more than 20 years. But at the moment I'm getting reluctant to shop there, because too much comes via Evri, who are simply not reliable. Fine when they're good, but service is too much at the mercy of individual variability. Of 4 recent orders, only 1 arrived on time. UK.

I just watched a documentary about the #Lockerbie #Pan-am bombing and I find myself vexed by a phrase. The people who died that night did NOT "lose their lives". They had their lives taken from them. Language shapes how we think of things: choice of words matters.

A heartfelt plea: Whatever your politics or religion, the people of Gaza and their animals are starving to death. PLEASE, if you can afford to do so, find a way to support them. I know that Israel is making this extremely difficult but we cannot be complicit in genocide.
All the right wingers banging on about 'free speech' make me want to do something drastic. None of them care about free speech. They only care about white people being able to say racist things without consequence. Do not fall for their shit.
Trump's post is insane; put aside the crazy and examine the logic. Trump wrote that in the Biden's 4 years, 21 million migrants entered the US illegally, many of them are criminals. If many equals 10%, than Trump has 2 million criminals to deport. Why is he deporting citizen children with cancer?
