Ernest's arguably best Touchstone feature is ripe w/ the usual slapstick set pieces he's known for but by this round Cherry & Varney managed to give us both a living cartoon & the most fully formed movie in the series. Varney also pulls off a bonus villain performance that is worth the watch alone.

Oh I definitely saw that as a youngin. The chick falling off the balcony and the head exploding in the Running Man were two early instances of movie violence I saw as a child and still remember to this day.
