Today Elections Alberta requested $13.5 million to be able to administer recalls and referendum.

The UCP committee in charge revised their request to just over $1 million.

And then voted it through.

The UCP just defunded recall/referendum.

All the pro-oil folks in Alberta need to take a good, long look at what transparency means. To our government, it seems to mean offering great deals for oil companies to make profit while Albertans are left with the cleanup costs.
