Possibly fan goodwill? Slowing down the knee-jerk "we're cancelling season tickets" crowd?
I'd feel pretty differently if I knew the local club cared about fan discontent and had any intention of making changes, rather than just spouting party-line league propaganda about how all's fine and dandy.
