Passionate about self-directed learning for the sheer joy of it, widening access in the arts, and the Oxford comma.

Marries strangers for fun.
It’s due to be. Sadlers over Christmas and then a UK tour. I already have tickets.

Oh well done! Sleeping Beauty is on BBC iPlayer I think too. And The Red Shoes is on Marquee TV (free or very cheap for a trial).

😁 The Red Shoes is at Sadlers all Christmas, but I am waiting to see it locally. That’s excellent too.
Swan Lake will return in due course.

No, it was, but that’s now finished. It’s just for a couple of EU venues to come. I would recommend Madrid for anyone that wants to see it….

Weirdly so, yes! But to be fair, a lot of mid 90s filming was a bit odd.

Did you watch them in La Fille? They are a beautiful partnership 🎀

It may happen!
Gary is my favourite Drosselmeyer as well, by a long way.

I saw Marianela as Odette/Odile and Gary Avis as Von Rothbart in 2024 and it was breath taking.
Vadim Muntagirov was the Prince 👑
Although Ball and Nunez have partnered a fair bit, I don’t THINK they’ve ever done a Swan Lake together?
Yet…
Love Gary Avis.

Yup, agreed with the bottom two. But not the result!

Ballet is invariably filmed badly, but in this case, it doesn’t detract from the brilliance of it.

Did you watch the Bourne conversation first? That was excellent.
November 9, 2025 at 10:05 PM
It WAS good.
But I’ve paid hundreds of pounds over the years to watch Natalia dance and then she dances at my local theatre, 2 minutes where I work 🤦🏻‍♀️
And it’s empty? 🤷🏻‍♀️
When they’ve just acknowledged the lack of access to the arts for many local people 😢

I went to a QandA with the cast on UK tour this year, and they said they all watched the different versions through the years as a rite of passage.
I am loving this! 🦢

Ditto! I’ve loved watching this through the years and it has significantly evolved. I want to rewatch the original!

I think middle aged+ people have become too used to watching tv and commentating/chatting/eating throughout in their own sitting rooms and so they have forgotten how to behave in a theatre.
