four days before we were set to move into the house we’ve been renovating for 5 months, the first big rain of autumn hit and created a leak through the ceiling. 😬 a plumber and roofer working together ID’d a faulty 100-year-old lead pipe as the culprit. they‘re going in through the closet today.

one bright spot on this friday: it's payday and my federal worker spouse is still working & getting paid, so I'm going to support a few lovely projects that've come my way this week. first: this family storytelling game from the South Asian American Digital Archive.

I'm thrilled that this is kicking off, right now, all the way across the country from me but months in the making and close to my heart. Spend some time with the class website, if you have a moment, and follow Shannon for more on misfittery over the next 10 weeks.
Our first Misfits class is on Thursday! We've got 17 participants from across NYC's libraries, universities, municipal agencies + arts orgs; we're visiting Storefront, ABCNoRio, the NY Botanical Garden, the Ctr for BookArts, etc. Here's our website! 🤗
