The highest praise I've ever received in an aircheck was when my PD at 98 Rock in Sacramento said I have "Jed the Fish tendencies" on the air. Clearly he was insane, I could never come close. Hearing all these stories solidifies it, Jed was the GOAT.
In the KROQ studio with a lit of the old gang - Kevin, KW, Lightning, Doug, Tami, Kat and many others. Ready to pay tribute to Jed the Fish in just minutes.

No offense to the other traffic reporters in town but I've been training for today rolled over cattle truck on I-65 since the early 80s! It just took me this long to finally find my time to shine.

Normally talk of a dumpster fire on the Dan Ryan would lead you to think we are talking about something near 35th St (Sorry Sox fans, you know it's true). But no, this one is on the OB Ryan past 71st. Fire crews have the right lane and the ramp to 75th blocked. @wbbmnewsradio.bsky.social

A miserable morning for traffic trying to get from Downtown to O'Hare as the OB Kennedy remains closed from the Edens to Lawrence with a crash investigation. Use Elston or Milwaukee Ave to avoid being forced to the OB Edens today. @wbbmnewsradio.bsky.social

Oopsie! Going to be a long day for one semi driver on SB I-65 at State Road 2 near Lowell. The left lane is blocked after this big rig ended up on its side. A heavy tow is on the way to get this cleaned up but it may take a while. @wbbmnewsradio.bsky.social

Wrapping my head around how Nirvana to Middle Schoolers today is the same as the Beatles were to me in Middle School continues to rip at my soul.
When I was a kid, 104.3 was the *oldies channel and Dick Biondi was the DJ

*Still D.R.E came out in 1999. It’s basically 26 years old. In 1994, when I was 10, a 26 year old song would have been recorded in 1968…Still D.R.E. Is technically an oldie 🥴

Progress we can see! Crews are in the Kennedy express lanes this morning conducting more testing. IDOT says sometime next week we should get access to the express lanes once again after being shut down for almost 10 months!

Hey @andrefor40th.bsky.social, since @chicagocta.bsky.social decided to abandon the cesspool that is the other platform, can we get them to resume automatic posts over here?

Better late than never?!? Crews are FINALLY moving the barricades from overnight construction on WB I-80/94 past Ripley. The 2 right lanes were supposed to be cleared at 6am, resulting in 7 miles of misery starting well before State Road 249. @wbbmnewsradio.bsky.social

While Trump’s national popular-vote margin was just under 1.5%, his margin in news deserts was massive. He won these counties by an average of 54 percentage points.

Spent the last hour listening to incredible earthquake coverage live on KCBS/San Francisco and now @genebaxter.bsky.social and his cousin live from the other side of the planet. All while driving around the north side of Chicago. Hey sometimes technology ain't that shabby!

Good. It’s horrific how other platforms abused their reach to strangle local, independent, and national outlets alike.

I WANT to see news and actual vetted work and I WANT journalists to get rewarded for it.

Because I want to live in a thinking human world over some AI generated slop dystopia
