The Flanderization of ghibli in the public mind is just so insane to me. Acting like it’s entirely wholesome and cutesy but is really overtly anti capitalist, depict the horrors of war and environmental decline, and have TONS of body horror and depictions of death and disease. it legit annoys me

It is finally online: the column where I, with heavy heart, suggest that #Finland should start a joint #nuclear weapons R&D program with the Nordic and Baltic countries and Poland (and possibly with others too).

Unfortunately we need to share these widely, not to dunk on the U.S. but to raise awareness of what is the end result if we let our own right wing bozos follow the U.S. example, as they’d very much like to do.
This will (hopefully) never cease to be staggering to everyone else in the world.
