I made this triple batch of salsa (probably ~30 pints) last night and then sent the whole thing to the compost pile. When adding tomato paste I chipped a mason jar into it trying to get it off of a spoon and I couldn't know that I got every shard out.

So I stripped back every single wire, crimped and soldered new ends on, and fixed my larger ground problem (that I only patched before) for the price of some wire ends that I already had on hand. Not everyone has access to these tools, but I'd do this job for a close friend or relative.

Update on this: my check engine light came on and my left turn signal began blinking fast despite the bulbs all still lighting up. Dug a little deeper and found some sketchy factory grounds, some with nine wires terminated to one eyelet. Didn't even need to cut the end off, the wires crumbled.

Picking up a burrito last night, noticed only one headlight reflecting in the taqueria window. Neither bright nor dim on that bulb, so assume it's either broken bulb (not burnt out) or wiring problem. It was the latter, a ground failed on it so I fixed it for $0 in 15 minutes.

Treated myself to a shiny new toy for my second most expensive hobby. Lightly used Lukr Nostalgie faucet and a fresh gasket kit. Didn't have a good pils so it's saison on the first pour, absolutely nothing wrong with that. Gonna try to brew a double batch of a Czech style over the weekend.
