I was as outraged as most folks about the 10, until I realized shutting down the govt would also have shut down the courts and we need them to continue fighting. My outrage is somewhat tempered, but Schumer is still a putz. Book tour, my azz.

FYI, Costco currently has an OTC generic Plan B pill for $5.99. Maybe pick up a few packs for friends.

Spent the day doing "normal" things with hubby. Shopped for a dryer. Had dinner at a nice restaurant. Minimal doom scrolling/politics. I -did- wear my guillotine earrings tho. Today was a nice palate cleanser. Tomorrow, back to the grind.

I'd be curious to see Big Pharma's reaction to RFK's plans. Since this admin only listens to the almighty dollar, the pharm industry could make a big enough stink (or pay enough bribery) to sink his plans to eliminate SSRIs and other meds.
