Former garage punk rabble rouser. Likely I'll mainly be posting about music dating from whenever to right now, with the odd film & book thrown in now & then.
Feet up listening to Barry Adamson's soundtrack to an obscure 90s neo-noir that I have yet to see. Good record though. Sticks lots of western style acoustic & surf guitars in with his trademark sinister vibes.

Sunday listening so far has involved The Cramps & now 'Las Vegas Story' by The Gun Club. Still a bloomin' great record 40 years on.

This morning I've blocked out the existential gnaw of "Ugh. Back working." with a cool soundtrack. Thank god for still being able to work from home.

Showing my advanced age, whenever I see someone laying down the Bluesky rules to a newcomer, I imagine Captain Mainwaring's voice.

A horizontal Saturday afternoon with a book currently being soundtracked by some Grant Green.

Been mostly a 'listen to jazz with feet up' day today. Poured a glass of cheap arsed spiced rum & I'm now grooving along to some top tier.

Drinking beer and getting my Saturday groove on. 'Oh Baby!' indeed.

Once again I don the imaginary hat and trenchcoat to navigate the mean & rainy streets of Moss Side Story with Barry Adamson.

Starting the day with something by Mr Preview (and, of course, the obvious Morecambe & Wise joke).

Loving this record by Shay Hazan at the moment. Beats, African rhythms, Morrocan & brass instruments, hypnotic, jazzy. Would be ideal for cruising around watching the world from the backseat.

Feet up & relaxing with some laid back and funky organ grooves coming out of the record player, courtesy of the Blue Note Classic reissue of Ronnie Foster's Two Headed Freap. 100% guaranteed to send the cool level of your day soaring.
