Hey @metrotransitmn.bsky.social , looks like your police could use some training about not parking their SUVS on sidewalks and fully blocking the Capital City Bikeway. This was taken about 5:15pm this evening. I saw no officers in the vehicles but two standing on the LRT station across the street.

Time to get the snow-tires on your vehicles folks.

I didn’t catch all the names, but rest assured, all 29 were named, as was Captain Cooper of the Anderson, to whom we all raised a toast for his heroic actions. Cooper was afraid, and went back out of safe harbor anyway. Let us be like Captain Cooper.

Amazing combo public health/climate crisis ad campaign here! In the style of tobacco PSAs of the late 60s and early 70s.

Consider the caboose. I’m old enough to remember when trains still had them. They, and importantly the workers who stationed them, now replaced with electronic monitoring devices attached to the last car of freight trains.

Hard to visually capture the scale of the surf here. This is North Beach at Tomales Bay National Seashore yesterday. Those breakers the furthest out had to be at least 15ft tall.

For the first 10 months we appear to be producing about 7% less in 2025 than 2024, but several months in 2025 were higher than in 2024.

I went to HS with Chuck Zwicky, who was a sound engineer for Prince for some time. We had an electronics class together in which I failed to create a working FM radio and Chuck built a functioning phase-shifter or flanger. I forget which. He was a wizard, and a quite good guitar player!
