yeah - raul julia is great but otherwise the movie's pretty abysmal. same with double dragon. the original mortal kombat movie is by far the best one of the insanely cheesy video game movies from that era, although i've been *staggered* to see the latter-day rise of Super Mario Bros. defenders.

Everything about that Street Fighter movie reminds me too much of what videogame movies were like before they went mainstream.
It’s giving hokey. Not like the original with a JC Van Damme coking himself out all over the place was any better (God bless Raul Julia btw) but so far NOTHING works for me

Plus the novelty of banging a guy from the 1800s is probably pretty intriguing
my girlfriend doesn't read comics, so I admire how easily she intuited that wolverine's deal is "teenagers think he's cool but he's canonically kind of a weirdo and ladies let him hit it because he's a little goofy" without having read all the classic issues required to understand this.
