They might tear through...or shred...some documents with sensitive personal information once the audit is done.

IDOR might track you down to send a legal notice about the debt, your rights as a taxpayer, afford due process, and put in for deductions from future government payments. Their revenue officers are not likely to send alleged violators out of state before next of kin or counsel can contact them.
