Incapable of shutting up about owls. Queer neurodivergent leftist millennial. I make art sometimes (not as often as I want to). Expect cat photos (her name is June). Wildlife rehabilitator & educator. Unreasonably goofy.

It’s the weird culty intensity that tips it into turbo-cringe. Look, if you’re into schmaltzy bland heterosexual pop music then good for you, have a blast, but like… she’s a product. You’re being advertised to. There’s no mystery there. It’s fine but pls touch grass and get it off my god damn feed

They are! I’ve definitely done the “what’s that weird small crow?” double-take 😅

Good news! This can still be your corvid photo of the year (grackles aren’t corvids 😉)

(And this photo is indeed excellent!)

Hopefully you’ll see this cool bird again! The damaged tail might make it harder for them to escape other predators, especially raptors, but here’s hoping for the best (and quick feather growth). 🤞🏻

Might’ve stood out as an easier target, yeah! I wouldn’t suspect a raptor necessarily (if a raptor starts plucking feathers, the prey has bigger things to worry about already), but feather plucking is classic cat damage. 😢 Long tail would be easy for a cat to grab and yank too.

Leucistic GTGR with missing tail feathers - I can say, as a wildlife rehabilitator, that when a bird comes in without any tail feathers, they’ve almost always been attacked by a predator, usually a domestic cat. A few missing is a molt, total loss is a traumatic event.

I start feeling the pressure from this girl around 9 or 10pm every night. Just staring at me with her gigantic eyes until I’m unnerved enough to give in.

Brought to you by the dog who lost his goddamn mind at the auto glass place and his shithead human who just sat there like “aww, he’s all bark” as if that wasn’t the exact reason this autistic person was visibly flinching and shaking. Anyway I’m sitting outside now, where the dog should be 😒

Not a lot to choose from since I haven’t been to many concerts, but Axel Flóvent opening for Radical Face was very, very good
