CSI is the cozy copaganda series. Sometimes the cops are just assholes, but they don't ever do the "we are HARD MEN who have to make the TOUGH CALLS to keep SHEEP safe from WOLVES, and if that offends you, TOO BAD SNOWFLAKE" thing that so many modern cop dramas do.

GTA 5 has a minor subgame where you can take care of Franklin's dog, but training, feeding, and grooming him were only dealt with through the mobile companion app, which has been delisted. As a result, any time you interact with Chop the rottweiler in single player, he's permanently miserable now.

Nursery retail manager is the thing that made this jump out at me. The guy who took care of all of our plants at the Lowes I work at was maybe the most neurodivergent man I've ever personally met, but by GOD he kept plant loss to a minimum. He was ON that shit.

Good god this game is pretty. Even on my steam deck, with all the settings at minimum to avoid setting the gpu on fire, you walk in any given direction and get ASSAULTED by someone's concept art come to life

Getting better at the timing of the parries and dodges, maybe too good. Parried a guy so hard the whole steam deck crashed. Going to have to be CAREFUL with my new powers

Now is the best possible time for it, too. I was NOT looking forward to having to move my PC up to windows 11, especially with all the ai cruft that's been glued onto it. I may just be able to leave the windows ecosystem entirely.

It means we have more time to finish dealing with all of our stupid political bullshit and actually put people who know how to fix this in charge of government again. Now if only we had anyone remotely electable who could do that.

It's sort of portraying this last gasp of the good man Walt used to be as he tries to leave something behind for the people he cares about when the WHOLE show up until the second half of season 5 is about how that good version of Walt....just never really existed. It's at war with itself.

And one of many reasons why so many groups stick to low-level play. Lots of moving pieces to keep track of, sure, but once your fighter can survive a fall at terminal velocity, your characters stop really feeling like human(oids). Not as big a deal when you only have five hit dice, tops.

I think a lot of people THINK they like realistic combat, when what they really like is realistic-FEELING combat. They think realistic gunplay would be like The Punisher when really it's more like Collateral. Doesn't matter how skilled you are, when the guns come out anyone can die.
