Hey, I wrote a thing about Little Nightmares III! Sadly, a change in developer means this entry has some growing pains and pales in comparison to the rest of the series. #LittleNightmaresIII
REVIEW / Little Nightmares III (PS5) - That VideoGame Blog
Little Nightmares III will scare players with its story and frustrating gameplay design. A missed opportunity.

Please help my friend Shaun out if you have the means to do so!
That's why I had to make a GoFundMe. I'm still looking for work on a daily basis, and applying everywhere I can. I hate to ask for help, because I've always found a way to make things work. But right now? I feel helpless, lost, and scared.

Chill vibes are always a plus, but better navigation tools and a quest log would have helped Everdeep Aurora truly shine. #EverdeepAurora
REVIEW / Everdeep Aurora (Switch) - That VideoGame Blog
Everdeep Aurora has a lot of depth if players can forgive its lack of guidance and have the patience to see it through.

Updates on this because people should know: Escapist Slack is gone. Freelancers are locked out of CMS. Gamurs made no attempt to notify them of changes.

Contracts have been passed on to the new owners (still not named), but no writer has been told when or even if the new owners will be in touch.
Surprised no one has been posting about this, but yeah, GAMURS told their team in the literal dead of the night (around 11PM ET) that it had sold The Escapist.

Much like with Dot, no mention of who bought it or what would happen to the existing staff.

Oh yeah, it's Tail Time. But at what cost? Even after all these years and with some quality-of-life improvements, Gex is still average. #GexTrilogy
REVIEW / Gex Trilogy (PS5) - That VideoGame Blog
The Gex Trilogy is now upon us. It's a decent collection of platformers, but they don't set the world on fire.

It's tough to stand out as an indie, especially in the platforming genre. Luckily, @brlka.com has nothing to worry about. Love Eternal stands out with its mix of gravity mechanics and spooky plot. ##PAXEast2025
Love Eternal Mixes Platforming With Atmospheric Horror
The indie platformer Love Eternal definitely piqued my interest at PAX East 2025. Expect gravity mechanics and a spooky narrative.

I love a game that tries new things. Perfect Tides: Station to Station from @meredithgran.com scratched that itch. Being able to level up through social interactions was a breath of fresh air. #PAXEast2025

What's better than one RPG? Two RPGs! Many thanks to @square-enix-games.com for inviting me to preview the upcoming Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. If you enjoyed what it did with III, you will not be disappointed. #PAXEast2025

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I never played Bravely Default from @square-enix-games.com. I fell in love with its combat system during my time with the HD version, though. #PAXEast2025

I reviewed Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves for Digital Trends. It’s a great fighting game dragged down by the state of the world. This is the hardest review I've ever had to write. I hope you'll read it.

I can't thank @marioprime.bsky.social enough for giving this a home.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is a strong fighting game, but one that feels a bit creatively compromised by the business dealings powering it.
