Yep, this is my 1964 Vox AC30 - still going strong and sounding sweet! No 50's Fender to go with it, my oldest guitar is a '75 Strat, but come to think of it that's 50 years old now which is pretty ancient I suppose.

I had the same problem with Evri. Bought 4 coffee mugs from a small antique shop and they were very well packed with bubble wrap round each, yet Evri still managed to break 2 of them. I assume the word 'fragile' is an invitation to smash the parcel around the warehouse.

I'm sure every amateur gigging guitar player has a garage shelf like this. Crackle, pop, oh I'll keep that one, just need to resolder that xlr plug...... er, one day!

And that Piazza is filled with people twice a year in July and August for the famous, crazy horse race known as Il Palio. A fantastic time to visit.

Rather unfortunate that Sir Keir Starmer's name, when translated to Ukrainian, becomes Kip Crapwerp.

I'm sure will see the funny side of it!

Today, towns and villages all over Italy commemorate their liberation from fascism and nazism.

Never let it return to Europe. No time for complacency.

Mate, when you get bored with all that winning, your spiritual home awaits you.

The rich lady has a point. This was my lunch they made me eat yesterday. It's hell here in Italy.

Yes, Cheddar Cheese is not popular in Italy but in my local Lidl in Italy they stock cheddar .... but from a producer in Northern Ireland, not Somerset.

Yes, maintaining the damn streak is what gets you. I'm not too bothered about bouncing up and down the leagues but ......

Italy, small town, medium sized supermarket last month. Lest we forgot what we had, and could have.

I remember watching on TV in 2013 when Croatia won their accession to the EU. Huge celebrations in Zagreb and cheers as they proudly hoisted the EU flag alongside the national flag. I couldn't contemplate then that just 3 years later Britain would recklessly throw that away.

Blessed are the UK cheese makers...(well only if they are based in Northern Ireland)

My local Lidl Italia is the only place I have found Cheddar. And they get it from a NI supplier, thanks to the special customs arrangements I assume. Sad for the cheese makers of Somerset.

I am blessed with a clear sky in Northern Italy tonight. Thanks for the tip.

I read a report that Lake Windermere was pretty bad last year. Just for comparison, this was Lake Garda a couple of weeks ago.

Christmas Day, and every other day, the Adige flows serenely through Verona, Italy.

UK has been fully out of the EU for 4 years now. One challenge for those wishing to join again is that people will gradually forget how things were and accept a new normality. That's why from time to time I provide a little video of a normal Italian supermarket in a small town. Taken 1pm today, Sun.
