A singer-songwriter friend would like people to know that while boycotting Spotify is great, it was also 16% of their income that is now cratering. So if you're cancelling Spotify, please pair that with buying music, merch, or live tickets directly from your favorite artists

I dont use Spotify anymore. I switched back to Apple music a while back after the payout info came out. They pay the artists pretty well in comparison, plus my library had been sitting in iTunes for years so I might as work with it.
