Catching up: some may remember the saga of my church's organ pipes being stolen and subsequently recovered last year. I'm happy to report that our organ is now fully restored and sounds great! We rededicated it just before Ash Wednesday.

Had a quiet bday w/my husband on Tues. Spent yesterday w/ my sick granddaughter, who was happy there was still a little snow & ice left from last week's snow, so she made an "ice cake" for me.

Week started sadly as my old kitty passed away, but then Christmas w/ a whole house of people for dinner! One son with his gf and her 4 kids, her sister w/her bf and baby girl, one son w/ my granddaughter and his gf, plus 2 guest dogs. Loved having a house full of chaos!

Week started sadly as my old kitty passed away, but then Christmas w/ a whole house of people for dinner! One son with his gf and her 4 kids, her sister w/her bf and baby girl, one son w/ my granddaughter and his gf, plus 2 guest dogs. Loved having a house full of chaos!
Nicklesocks left me yesterday, on to a new adventure. She was 16, soon to be 17. She came to us at Christmas time in 2008, and oversaw a lot of changes to her household. My husband lovingly cleaned up her eating and sleeping areas so I didn't have to. Today I still look for her. #CatsofBluesky

Sang Advent Lessons and Carols on Sunday, attended a Christmas party with former co-workers last night, and tonight my husband and our granddaughter finished her paper chain (she wanted to make it longer than the one her daddy made when he was little). It's been an amazing, fulfilling week!

My sweet Nicklesocks is not well. She's letting me know her time is coming to an end, and I am sad. She's 16, and came to me in December 2008. #BlueskyCats #Cats

I read a book yesterday. I realized I was just mindlessly scrolling through all my social media apps and decided to read one if the many books I've downloaded to my Kindle. Read the whole thing, and remembered that I really do like to read, I just don't do it enough.

My 4 y.o. granddaughter wrote out the alphabet on our way to school this morning. The end is jumbled because she got in a hurry to finish as I pulled in to the parking lot.
