So, introductions - my name is Dan, and I worked in libraries (community and academic) for 6 years, before eventually moving into managing research data services.
I am a huge fan of drawing, Lego, video games, TTRPGs, and painting Warhammer when I get the time. I also sometimes write for free.

infuriating. I know a bunch of cons follow me. don't do this. AI has already stolen the work of hard working and passionate artists with real heart and pov. the artist's potential to make $$ in these convention spaces is more vital than ever. fuck off with this.

Letter from a young reader today who was “forced” to read a book by his teacher and “forced” to write a letter to the author, but who’s going to buy the book (More Than This) over the summer to finish it, “which is a big deal if you know me”. Honestly, best compliment a writer can get.
