The UK will celebrate net emigration and depopulation come 2027.
And by 2028 it will start to realise, with an ageing society and low growth, what a really silly thing it has done.
The right will go "pro-natalist", the centre-left will be completely stuck.

Immigration policy has dictated our politics since - and because of - Brexit. It has led to nothing but failure, division and a resurgence in brazen racism. It is a scapegoating shield dishonest politicians hide behind to deny their own responsibility. And, ultimately, it has become utterly ruinous.

You can already see it in the Daily Mail's coverage of Poles leaving the country.
They're not going to thank you for non-Brits leaving / not coming in the first place. They're just going to say it's because the country is going to hell!
