Wilson being a very capable short target is a big reason for that. the chains just keep moving forward instead of relying on big plays to carry them across

rest of season to go and see how this shakes out but these are two different players that on a team without tre mcbride would easily be able to work together without getting too much in each others way (imaginging a mike will/keenan allen combo)

meanwhile, Michael Wilson is playing all levels of the field and despite 'competing' for those short targets with one of the best short targets in the league (Trey McBride) is actually able to win them while also being somewhat good everywhere else too

i dont agree based on the way i look at it, noel may end up having a better career but higgins college numbers are akin to many other elite WRs so you have to test if he can be that or not. Higgins rookie usage is similar to Michael Pittman's, however less efficient on a worse team

he should retain his targets for ROS unless a sudden Jaylin Noel breakout occurs (possible but unlikely, i think?) but that won't continue beyond 4-5 weeks into Year 2 if he's still invisible past 10 yards

Like Mills is throwing 24% of his passes into the intermediate (10th highest in the league), and there's almost nothing here for Higgins. It's a whimper. And what he does have there is extremely inefficient. I'm expecting something better than this if there's a future worth chasing.

Odunze has only 2 things in his entire profile right now, "catch deep ball", "short throw, big yac"- the most obviously volatile aspects to a players game. And despite playing nearly half his time in the slot, almost all that YAC is coming from short passes on the outside

Expect odunze to fall out of that next year. Pearsall could still be something though
