Everyone is getting upset about the data centers. They pollute a lot and use a lot of energy and will eventually be very ugly/huge vacant buildings. And I understand being mad about that. Until you consider the state of the lazer tag industry at this moment, and how much help that sector needs.

And never mind the Kafkaesque absurdity of attempting to enforce a tariff on IP in this, our digital age of streaming and satellites. Does this gibbering submoron think foreign movies are going to be in film cannisters waiting to be offloaded from a Chinese container ship? Why yes, yes he does.
If there is a trade imbalance to worry about, it sure as fuck isn't in American filmmaking. We export a shit-ton of IP around the world and take in vastly less from elsewhere. So now enjoy the retaliatory tariffs. Not to mention the collapse of production value when everything looks like a backlot.
