Alf Dubs is a 92 year old man who spent his life fighting for refugees, and in particular for refugee children. He fought the Tories tooth and nail during their last three terms, only to see Labour adopt far-right policies on immigration.

“But to use children as a weapon ... I’m lost for words.”

Neither of these players were born when Arsenal opened their Premier League season with a 6-1 win at Everton in which Thomas Vermaelen made his Arsenal debut.
Arsenal have named two 15-year-olds in their travelling squad for pre-season in Asia. Attacking midfielder Max Dowman (born December 2009) and defender Marli Salmon (August 2009) are both on the plane. #AFC

Really emotionally intelligent comments from Arne Slot re Jota's passing. Essentially gives those closest to him at the club the confidence/permission to be happy as well as sad while mourning him and not feel any sort of guilt because of it. Proper leadership

Seems crazy to change the format at this late stage though.
Probably for the best. You don't want to be running around outdoors in this heat.

A player at a Premier League club has been accused of sexual assault by four different women and has carried on playing.

We can't name him for legal reasons.

“It’s a systemic failure,” says Nazir Afzal, the former Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England.

When Mikel was captain I tweeted him, Per, and a handful of other players asking if they'd be kind enough to retweet my gofundme for a new wheelchair. Instead Mikel jumped on there and contributed enough for me to buy it. I cried that night. Last night I cried with joy at what he's done for my club.
