This one hurts. I’m a late-in-life opera fan which means I do embarrassing things like start crying during Madame Butterfly like Cher does in Moonstruck because I didn’t know the plot before I went in. Which I have done at the Kennedy Center, FYI. RIP.

We really did start collecting price data because as the US industrialized and more people purchased food and goods with wages there was a lot of fighting about how much wages needed to rise to keep up with the cost of living.

It’s time for the President to act like a President for ALL of the United States.

It’s time for the Speaker of the House to ACT like the man of faith he claims to be.

It’s time to fulfill the promises that were made and DELIVER for the people of Los Angeles.

This WSJ article adds some fascinating context to the NYT article that has the mother of a 14 year old model brought to Mar-a-Lago for a party having Maples come up to her and saying keep those girls away from these men and my husband. Maples denies she said it.

All based on a “gotcha” video claiming that 3 daycares had no kids. One hadn’t opened yet for the day; one is actually closed. Dude arrived with no I.D. No call ahead. They DIDN’T LET HIM IN!

The fraud they’re referencing was investigated & prosecuted by the Biden DOJ. The ringleader was white.
This is monstrous. He wants to turn the residents of the state against Walz and against the Somali-American population.
BREAKING

The Trump administration says it has frozen all childcare payments to Minnesota in the aftermath of allegations of fraud by some in the Somali community.

Important: allegations along these lines have existed for years, which has resulted in prosecutions starting with the Biden DOJ.

Sit with this: if this report is accurate, this child was horrifically abused. I wonder whether she’s been able to build any kind of life for herself.
