Bringing my Positivity Potato back, because we could all use their support.
My crafty friend made me a positive potato recently, and I had to share! This delightful desk companion is holding a little whiteboard, but I messed up and used a permanent marker on it. 🤷 It's still perfect!

As a professor of English, allow me to try, humbly and with the proper respect, to offer an appropriate response to the President’s address:

Fuck you, you fucked-up fuck, and fuck all the fuckers who willingly fuck with you, especially. You can all fuck all the way off, and then fuck off some more.

Stumbled upon a thank you note that I tucked into prize bags for randomly-selected students who completed a post-instruction session evaluation. What kind of swag? Whatever's on hand: yo-yos, temporary tattoos, clicky pens, phone wallets... Incentives make a difference in results!

#AcademicLibraries Today's task: helping our libraries' social media intern take photos of our new assessment tool which we hope will provide us with good feedback from students attending our events. Vocab was tested with current students (1=meh, 2=mid, 3=slay)

#AcademicSky, let's get to know each other! Quote this & tell me: 1) a project you are working on & 2) an odd idea/theory you aren't working on but keep thinking about.
1. event assessment using 'gems and jars' scale of 1-3
2. F1 drivers have to do more promotion than other athletes; at what cost?

Still finding my way here, and sad that I've lost the community of folks over on the previous platform. Send cat photos and recipes for lemon or chocolate desserts.

Helping a student find sources for her research on Beyoncé's impact on culture; she was concerned that it might be too niche a subject. Showed her an entire issue of Popular Music & Society dedicated to Beyoncé, and she couldn't believe it. #NothingIsTooNiche #Libraries😀
