Classic cars, vintage technology, music, amateur radio.
Tipping my hat to those who created technology in the past
They are excellent versions
My Holmesian comfort blanket are the Carleton Hobbs and Norman Shelley versions.

I drive a Herald thousands of miles each year I will have you know.
The Nano's sellong point was 'Safer than taking your family on a Hero Honda 125' which is hard to argue with to be fair.

Although there was a sad side to the day, it was a lovely day and gave closure.
Of course you sat on another important seat that day.

Jist over a year ago we lost MOR singer Jack Jones.
When I was small my parents had an 8 track player in the car and one of of the 8 track cartridges was 'A song for you'.
It introduced me (at the age of about 5) to the songs of Leon Russell, Gordon Lightfoot and Carol King amomgst others.

You have to be a certain age having grown up in a certain country to appreciate that (which I am and I did).

One of these years I will get to the NEC. I went to Aldi in Livie the 1300 this afternoon.
She has now been my daily for over 3 years and done about 6000 miles. Economic and comfy.

Weirdly, I also have that on 8-track and got Thijs van Leer
To sign it for me. To say he was surprised when I handed it to him was an understatement

Sadly only one fragment of pre war TV exists and was recorded off air in New York.
Two systems were trialled, Baird's 240 Line and EMI 405 Line.
The 405 line system was chosen and apart from the wartime closure was live until 1985. A few of us crazys still have usable 405 line sets.
