Uh, I read the books - all of them - and Bond is an aspiring aesthete who drives a Bentley and pays close attention to food and clothes. He's often presented as the opposite of brutes - in the books, Goldfinger and Drax are *pigs* - and he does not, at all, relish violence.
Craig plays it that way because that's how Fleming wrote the character. You may not like it, but Craig's portrayal is more authentic to the books. E.g., Fleming has Bond take his martinis "shaken, not stirred" - precisely to demonstrate that Bond is an unsophisticated brute.

Anyone who lived in NY in the ‘90s knew Trump was a con artist & a two-bit hustler who bankrupted businesses over and over. There’s a reason 9 out of 10 people in Manhattan didn’t vote for him. But Mark Burnett convinced millions of reality TV-watching Americans he was a successful businessman.

Every time one of you says "well, that's it, this is fascism," you're giving up.
If we were already living in a fascist regime, most of you - and certainly not anyone in the public space, like me - would not be here arguing about it.
You're Americans. Stop fantasizing that you're the White Rose.
Brooke Rollins: "Soybean, corn, wheat, sorghum, cotton farmers are facing very difficult times. We are currently in conversations here at the White House, across the government, on a farmer aid package."

The farmers i know are adamant they do not want aid.....just consistent policy.
how do I explain the concept of anesthesia to a cat. I am not starving you, I am trying to keep you from aspirating when the vet cleans your teeth tomorrow.
Kimmel getting his show back is neither a tactical nor a strategic victory for us and if you think it is I truly don't think you understand the game we're playing against MAGA.
