Whilst in art school, I visited the Henson creature workshop in Hampstead the DAY AFTER they shipped out the puppets so I didn’t get to see them in the flesh, just the moulds. Years later, I lived in Hampstead and the building that used to be the creature workshop was our local doctor’s surgery.

Thanks very much. I dearly love Star Trek but I actually preferred the thunderbird 2 model I did for Haynes. Unfortunately, my millennium falcon model didn’t go ahead.

I created a slot-together card model for a book using some of the source material. It was a long time ago now – I’ve learnt a lot since then and could do a much better job now.

Thank you. I actually designed the animals for a book packager (Joy gift publishing) who produced them for Allsorted “a distributor and wholesaler of gift books”. They sell into gift shops so they may very well be in your local zoo.

That’s a cool mechanism. I can see how the rear scoop works but that push-pull tab is a thing of beauty and a bit baffling. Does it use board for the rivets?
