The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

I'm not even going to repost a screengrab of his post about Rob Reiner but man it really needs to be said every single day: Trump truly is the biggest piece of shit in the world, a man of absolutely no good qualities and seemingly limitless bad ones. Support for him is just so damning.

I will say this about Erika Kirk, she seems like exactly the kind of person who would have married Charlie Kirk.

Finished The Delian Tomb tonight. In the last battle I was still deciding on the denouement…would the villagers lift the PCs on their shoulders and give three cheers for the Heroes of Broadhurst, or would it be a solemn recognition of the lives lost in the village fire..?

But they had killed…

We won't be successful fighting Trump with Schumer/Durban in party leadership positions. Now is the time to put leaders in place who understand the fight we're in.

Will you call for Schumer to step aside?

You either leave the Senate as a hero or live long enough to see yourself become Chuck Schumer.

"We are going to have to live here with each other" is the exact premise that Republicans do not agree about. Their proposition is mass immiseration, mass expulsion and mass murder. The only way to oppose political violence and avoid further political violence is to contend directly with that fact.
"All I can say for me in the work I do is that I want to create a space that takes our disagreements seriously, that takes the stakes of them seriously, the consequences for people seriously, but does so without deepening our divisions irreparably. We are going to have to live here with each other"

Whenever I come to the South, I'm struck by its natural beauty, the kindness and welcoming of the people, and how we've all been sold a bill of goods about a divided country. Yes it is, but God I love this place. It's my home. All of it. That we find reason to hate each other is an immense tragedy.
