the style has had pretty amazing staying power. its in that rarefied space where the "revival" has lasted longer than the original thing did, at which point we begin to wonder if its not a revival at all and maybe the whole thing's just immortal

double nickels is literally the best guitar album of the 80s. better than any shred or metal album (and the guy ran 012s. monstrous.)
