Haven’t heard from Bose, maybe I’m more Apple’s style. Hey, Apple, I’m available for ad work.

I’m probably well over 100. Which could explain why I don’t really know why Spotify is. Eh? What?

I am not unreasonably happy that I have leftover Mexican food for lunch. New Mexican style, to be precise.

The recipe is titled 20-Minute Red Lentil Soup. 20 minutes from when? It took me nearly that long to “finely mince” the veggies. But the soup was SOOO good!

I truly hope someone who does this submits a piece to @tacobellquarterly.org, an unaffiliated literary magazine that’s in the library of congress
The race, now in its eighth year, is described as the “World’s Most Gastricly Demanding Ultramarathon” and asks its participants to run 50 kilometers, stop at 10 Taco Bells and eat a menu item from at least nine of those stops, all in under 11 hours. on.nbcboston.com/ikB15Dp
Hundreds plan to run the ‘Taco Bell 50k,’ the ‘World’s Most Gastricly Demanding Ultramarathon’
The organizers highly recommend engaging in “gastric training” prior to the event.

I don’t know why we have to go through this rapture bullshit every year when we all know full well that the only person who would actually get raptured is Danny Trejo.

This is very helpful. Especially:

1. Where do you fall on the commercial → upmarket → literary spectrum?
2. What is your genre?
A savvy query letter introduces a novel with both of these characteristics.

However, I am still in the “not good enough” phase. 🙁
I enjoyed this post on what exactly is literary fiction, written by a publishing professional. Especially this part: “What writers mean by literary: ‘I am smart’” which made me laugh.

NEW ANTHOLOGY CALL!

After our upcoming Terry Allen incited anthology we were gonna cool it for a bit on our music-incited anthologies because we have a lot on our publishing plate here.

But eff it. Right now the world needs all the inspiration from Woody Guthrie it can get.

My kind of poetry.
Longlisted for the 2025 National Book Award for Poetry, The Intentions of Thunder by @pswordwoman gathers, for the first time, the essential work from across Patricia Smith’s decorated career.

Here's an exclusive reading of "Man, Roll The Window Down!" found in her collection.

I occasionally mention use of a cell phone, but that’s the extent of tech for me. I write literary fiction in different setting (horror, fantasy, “regular”), so I’m focused on the people and their actions and motivations. But maybe this will prompt me to do something with this. #HottorWritersChat
Q2, #HorrorWritersChat! You lot were chatting so much I ran over. Hmpf.
Anyway you know the theme. Hit me with it.

AITA for frightening a boy to death?

I (15m) was chatting with my love (15f) when he came along being obnoxious then chased me into the woods. In my defense I didn’t know I could see in the dark and move that silently and fast. I was only toying with him, then Bam!, he was dead. #HorrorWritersChat
Question 2:

Write a post in the form of a Reddit "Am I the asshole?" question from one of your antagonist's perspectives.

Quote post and include the tag #HorrorWritersChat so others can find you.

No links or covers. Save the self-promo for the outro.
