hey this is dumb! section 230 is vital to protect our constitutional right to freedom of speech. getting rid of it is harmful to children, actually. (and to literally everyone else.) big companies can afford to pay the fines, they'll continue to operate and "abuse" children (a website cannot abuse+

@durbin.senate.gov I’ve been your constituent since 1997. You don’t know what you’re talking about with this and need to stop talking now before you wreck any shred of legacy you might have left. Stop embarrassing yourself.

Reminding everyone for no particular reason that Section 230 is one of the last things standing between free speech online and Trump having control over everything you see and say on the internet

You wouldn't be able to comment here if Section 230 didn't exist, and you know this.

Project 2025 wants to kill Section 230. Clarence Thomas wants to kill Section 230. Why are you, a Democrat, so eager to do their dirty work for them?!

You are literally exploiting children to push an agenda that will not in any way protect children while massively chilling speech for the vast, vast majority of the country.

section 230 is necessary for a free and open internet.

if you actually cared about kids, you would

1. impeach the current president
and
2. enact sweeping data privacy legislation for adults and minors alike

but youre not doing that, instead youre targeting the thing keeping the internet alive

Just saying, but this behavior is why you have never had my vote.

Do NOT fall for bad internet bills dude. Ending Section 230 is one of many pieces of ending free speech online. As your constituent I find your repeated support of bills that would effectively censor my presence online to be extremely concerning.

These laws are to censor LGBTQ voices off the internet. The co-sponsor of KOSA, just one of the 18 censorship/surveillance laws, said we need to pass it to protect kids from “the transgender in society”. These laws will remove ALL anonymity from the internet endangering activists, journalists, etc
KOSA Won’t Just Silence LGBTQ Voices; It Will Also Be Used To Hide Abortion Info From The Internet
We’ve highlighted in great detail how KOSA (the Kids Online Safety Act), sponsored by Senators Richard Blumenthal and Marsha Blackburn, which currently has an astounding 46 cosponsors, will be used…
