I’ve had so many since 2016. So many unpleasant ones. But some good.

It seems like today should be one, but I’m not feeling it. Maybe I’m just worn down or cynical.

I'm not trying to center myself here (especially because mine was not CSA). I say it because I know many folks are feeling this, too--that it DOES matter to us every time a famous guy gets away with this shit, and every time he doesn't.

The article where I read it held him up as a kind-hearted saint. Which he probably is. But I can picture so many older volunteers I know who have the time and heart to help but can’t navigate a world where someone would lie to a church about a starving baby.
