With all the talk of product shortages , I think it should be said that products will first find their way to densely populated areas first and everywhere else, last

This certainly will hurt all those red counties. How they react to their shelves being everything will define the midterms

Sending anyone from this country to a foreign gulag, particularly without a court hearing, should rightfully end a presidency. Full stop.

Buffalo, NY. Just saw Buffalo PD estimated 7500 - 10,000. Don't know if that's so, but it was an amazing turn out.

What you have to understand about Pete Hegseth copying and pasting war plans into Signal is that it almost certainly means he’s got classified documents on his personal UNSECURE devices. Signal isn't on a secure device...are our war plans on his personal devices? @jeffreygoldberg.bsky.social

there are like three overlapping scandals with signalgate — illegal distribution of sensitive government materials by top members of the administration, illegal attempt to circumvent records laws and possible unlawful use of military force — and democrats should be screaming about them all

What if the powers behind 47 are encouraging his inane and insane actions so J.D. (who is more their type) can 25th amendment him and appear as a "savior"? I hate my mind is moving in such mysterious ways.

As Marc Elias, an elections lawyer who litigates on behalf of Democrats, told me, “When Donald Trump says that he does not believe there should be voting machines, you should believe him. When he says there should only be voting on Election Day, you should believe him.”
Trump Is Still Trying to Undermine Elections
Now that Trump has installed election deniers throughout his Administration, he has been busy dismantling the guardrails protecting voting and voters.

Schiff: "You can picture the scene in the DOJ, if this guy is confirmed, where he asks one of Trump's other criminal defense lawyers, 'Should I recuse myself from this case?' And the other crim defense lawyer for Trump says, 'I don't think so'... it's that kind of absurdity that's becoming the DOJ."

Lived my 73 years on the Canadian border. My grandfather was born in Toronto.
I was a US Customs employee for 35 years. My stomach is in knots. I'm so sorry 1/3 of my fellow Americans voted for this Administration. I'm more sorry 1/3 of my fellow citizens didn't bother to vote.

Last existential post of the day I promise but this is a good thread.

I think it's good to remind ourselves that as big as the federal government is, it's still not actually that big.
i think this should be factored into how states, counties, localities and hospitals respond to these executive orders. "we will investigate you if you teach DEI." okay, with what agents, specifically? with what state capacity?
NYT reported that the number of potentially affected agents is as high as 6k. The bureau has about 13.7k agents total

If Trump ever tries to cancel elections or stay in power for a third term, let’s fill the streets of D.C. and every other major city and demand his resignation. We have the power, always.

After President Yoon Suk-yeol ordered martial law, the legislature voted to impeach him. But it could take months to remove him from office, and uncertainties remain.

Trump has named Charles Kushner, father of Jared Kushner, as ambassador to France. The elder Kushner once pleaded guilty to tax evasion and making illegal campaign contributions. Trump pardoned him in 2020.

“L’état, c’est moi,” as the saying goes.

Here you go, France. A nepo criminal!
