If the average homebuyer is 56 are they focused on education funding and housing opportunity or are they focused on their own “home equity” as a retirement vehicle?
There was essentially only one major midwest metro that didn't shift right and it also happens to be the metro that has done the most on housing policy and rent costs: Minneapolis.

NIMBYism is killing progressive movements. Housing and transportation costs are the most important populist causes.

I suspect that's because Threads is 100% algorithmic media, and Bluesky has no algorithm to game.
