got myself some Turkish classics as an early birthday present. i rarely read them, because they're usually sad and dramatic. found a short story and a mystery novel this time and might have been influenced by the lovely covers. hoping for the best ... #booksky

finished reading & highly recommend this walking memoir by @craigmod.com

it almost got me with “I never beat you in a race again, did I?” and finally, inevitably, got me with his story about his grandfather

if I hadn't been reading in public, i would have cried my eyes out

i'm happy to report that this one didn't disappoint either. after reading the entirety of the book with a perpetual grin on my face, i didn't expect the sad last line, though #booksky #AntyBoisjoly

after my fallout with Siddhartha, i am reluctant to return to my old favorites, but Terry Pratchett's Interesting Times did not disappoint. when i first read it at the beginning of my English journey, i probably understood only a third (if that), so i was genuinely worried :) #booksky

the third bridge over the bosphorus near the new airport is almost a decade old, but it still feels unfamiliar and off. maybe because it looks like Sauron's tower?
