Actually this is what being an artist in 2025 is like
I just watched the movie Hero (2002). There’s this scene where the Qin army is coming to slaughter a calligraphy school with Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung inside and the master teacher tells them to stand their ground so they go back to writing as arrows are flying in. That’s some metal shit

@tignotaro.bsky.social is right. That’s not what I expected Malachi would sound like. It’s BETTER.

I’ve developed over the years a coffee I call the “Mocha Padre” in which I dump an espresso into 1/3 part whole chocolate milk because with children around we always have chocolate milk and I don’t have time to be making elaborate drinks in the AM.

My Norwegian Elkhound/Corgi has taught me why Corgis should never be given long legs. Those little stubby legs are the only things preventing them from being an absolute menace.

Perfection
While the gospels say that Judas led the Romans to Jesus, a new theory is gaining traction with some Biblical scholars. There is evidence, some say, that Judas merely shared Christ's location on an insecure group chat that accidentally included several Roman officials and journalists.

Things I love: When someone tries to tell me how to fix the machine I'm working on and I have to calmly explain to them that I BUILT THIS MACHINE, so I think I have a pretty sound understanding of how it's supposed to work.

Is Media Orangeout an apt description of what's happening with American media these days?

Wall to wall Trump, and each new wave floods over the last horrible thing we should be upset enough to do something about.

My favorite word lately is porticoed. I happened upon it accidentally and though I think that I’ve always been vaguely aware of it as a word, what I hadn’t considered was that slightly changing the pronunciation can make it sound as if you’re referring to a coed shaped door, or a portable coed.

Musk’s status as a “special government employee” limits him to 130 days in the executive branch. However, despite working daily—documented by his own X posts—they claim he only works one day a week, effectively stretching his limit to 130 weeks. This needs to be brought to Congress—please share.
