Professional lurker.

I'll try to actually post here and connect with people.

I love unique fictional stories with well written characters. I hope to write one myself someday.

I'll probably follow you back if you seem okay.

That's all I've got for now, I really need to try to put down my thoughts more often for my own sake if nothing else. Sadly I still struggle with reaching out to people and interacting with others but if someone else reads this then I wish them and everyone good health and happiness.
The Nintendo Switch 2 system looks pretty good but I'll hold off on getting it until it gets something I really want to play, not too impressed with the starting lineup personally.

So humans are the only species in the history of the world that knows its actions are leading to its own extinction & destruction of the earth’s biosystem We know this as an absolute certainty. Change or die. Our response is to speed the whole process up.

28 new followers today, more precisely since I was last on 8 hours ago and hadn't posted anything all day. As far as I can tell they're all real people. I'm still not sure where they're coming from but appreciate it.

I greatly enjoyed this one and look forward to seeing what they put out next.

It's very gothic. It's sort of philosophical. It's got neat pictures (print only), look:

I'm looking forward to having some much needed vacation time later this week, I'll spend a lot of it playing Tales of Graces f Remastered which comes out on Friday. I really enjoyed playing the original over a decade ago. I really hope Namco remasters Tales of the Abyss some day.

I changed my profile picture and edited my description on here a bit. I got the image, and the last one I used as well, from my current PSN Avatar.

When a liberal area suffers a climate change disaster, Republicans say “God is punishing them.”

When a conservative area suffers a climate change disaster, Republicans say “Democrats control weather machines.”

Must be hard going through life as a full-blown idiot.

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

My biggest surprise was Mario & Luigi: Brothership. I've been a huge fan of the M&L series so I was very excited for this game to come out ever since it was announced. I was not expecting the story and characters to be as great as they were, the ending was so beautiful and the themes were powerful.

My main highlights this year are probably some things that came out I really enjoyed. The Wild Robot was a wonderful movie (I hope to check out the books someday) and some really great games released this year as well. Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio were both excellent.

I also was selected for Jury Duty for the first time earlier this year... twice. The first time I wasn't selected but then was called again 2 months later but missed the trial that was apparently canceled because that summons arrived in the mail a whole month after the date. 🙃So that was fun...

Lost both my dad (he was an asshole though so oh well) and aunt unexpectedly this year, the latter was the only one that affected me and my mom. Like many others I found myself very disappointed in how the 2024 U.S. election turned out, so needless to say this year has been pretty shit for me sadly.

Been getting quite a few followers recently for some reason, thanks I guess. I've followed back the ones that didn't raise any flags. I weep for the current state of humanity but still somehow have hope things will be better someday in spite of everything. I'm not optimistic but refuse to give up.

Finally seem to be getting over this illness, just some occasional coughing now. Wishing us all for a good new year with hopefully some good memories to make everything else worth dealing with.

All things considered 2023 was a surprisingly good year for me, gonna see how 2024 will compare.
