Yet hundreds of followers more whomst need telling about my latest novel!

It's very gothic. It's sort of philosophical. It's got neat pictures (print only), look:
Thank you @worldfantasy2025.bsky.social for a wonderful convention!

2nd year and it already feels like coming home.

Highlights:
- first time being approached by someone who read my book
- a publisher I love expressing interest in a project and asking for a sample & synopsis
- all the conversations

Submitted to @oldmoonquarterly.bsky.social yesterday! 🤞

I submit to short story magazines occasionally (only rejections so far), but this one's always special for me, because it's the one I'm excited for every issue of and that matches my taste to a T.

The release of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon and @oldmoonquarterly.bsky.social planning an Arthurian dark fantasy anthology falling so close together is no mere coincidence. The prophecy is real. Heed the signs. 🗡️

You might have heard about Alpha, Beta and Sigma males.

Well, it turns out I'm a GAMMA male... 😔

Inverted story structure ☝️

It's *all* a dark night of the soul, except for end of act 2 where there's a tiny glimmer of hope, which is snuffed out for good in the climax. 🙃💖

I'm changing up my writing toolset for increased productivity.

Old: Scrivener + inDesign

New: Neovim + git + pandoc

As a fiction writer as well as programmer this just makes way more sense to me.

Picked up The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman and I'm enjoying it immensely. Reminds me of TTRPGs in a good way. Fun MC. Its close to the flavour of Sword & Sorcery I'm aiming for with my current WIP, so it's a good study, too. 😌⚔️

Tech is making good progress, which is awesome, but we really need to start expropriating the obscenely rich – in practice, not just theory – for it to work in our favour.

Just sayin'.

And work should be reduced to 5 hours a day, 3 days a week or something.

I need votes on 2 potential titles for the book I'll publish this year.

Option 1:
PLAGUEBORNE

Option 2:
SKATHE

You only know it features a woman with a sword and appears to be pretty dark.
Which one is most likely to pique your interest?

Has anyone played #BaldursGate3 in couch co-op with their partner since one of the recent patches and can tell me how companions work now?

I would only want to play it with my wife if we get the full experience (each of our companions interjecting in all dialogues, acknowledging each other, etc.)

It is a black day for readers waiting for their favourite fantasy author's next book:

BG3 Patch 8 is out.

(On the bright side: BG3 Patch 8 is out.)

And episode No 2!

Would you please acknowledge what a dapper squad of gobbos we make?

Still working up my courage to listen to it (I get deeply uncomfortable listening to myself 😅) but I can vouch at least 2 of those gobbos are cool and funny dudes. 👍

Was lucky enough to be spotted by Nico from @tinybookcase.bsky.social during my reading at FantasyCon and get invited to their podcast! First episode came out yesterday. Loved the stories they wrote!

Thanks again to Ben & Nico for the opportunity. You rock and I hope I'll be seeing you Brighton! ✌️

Working on an #8bit #Elric of Melniboné based on @michaelwhelan.bsky.social's iconic Stormbringer illustration.

It's for a fan project I'm working on, an Elric game for the #NES written in #NesFab.

(The colour palette will be different in the game)

I want to develop a little retro video game based on the epic of Gilgamesh.

I'm torn between making it 8-bit era (NES) or 16-bit (SNES) 🤔

What do you think?

This week's random Magic card story prompts:

- Baneslayer Angel
- Gauntlet of Might
- Deafening Clarion

🤔
I decided I want to post a microstory based on 3 random Magic cards every week! 🙃

🥺
Okay, I will! I promise!

Thank you! ❤️

There won't be a Torment 2, but there will be more stories in that world, and some characters will return. But I have other projects cooking, too. I'm working hard to bring out another book this year.
I just finished it. It's amazing, it's splendid, it's just so good I can't find the right words to describe it. I really really really love it. Please write more.
