Somthing that strikes me about the modern American right is how the levels of cop and influencer brain leaves them impotent even when in power to actually deploy violence against there enemies. Demoralising your opponents political networks through terrorism is the job of the klan not the police.

I do feel bad for ordinary Americans, I really do. But evenly I do feel with increasing sincerity that the US is the Great Satan and it's dissolution will usher in a golden age for humanity

The key fact is that the US has been trying with more or less focus to overthrow PSUV for two decades they basically set the rules of the game in 2002 when they backed the coup against the overwhelming popular Chavez. And under that circumstance it's deranged to talk about unfair elections in 2024.

I would be willing to back banning the teen social media ban on the condition that the kids get a publicly owned teen only site just for them and it functioned like a late aughts social network. Get the ABC or Australia Post to run it

I feel for Paul Thomas Anderson and everyone who worked on One Battle After Another, they tried so hard to do the absurdist dystopian extrapolation from the current horrors, and ended up so close to the actual political environment of the release window it hit the uncanny valley. Great movie though.

I'm seeing a bit of Niemöller criticism, but we shouldn't forget that post war Niemöller wasn't trying to minimize his complicity, he was doing self-criticism.
