I have a time machine, but not the instructions. Join me as I unravel its capabilities, purpose and whence it came.

Different but also calm, by Caballero.

Sturtevant. I’d just seen this and then your post popped up on my feed.

Hill walking in the Lakes.

Rolling hills, one peak after the other, never knowing which will be the pinnacle.

Rain so hard it flies horizontal.

Visibility so bad, we cannot triangulate.

Boots heavy with bog muck.

No choice but to walk downhill and hope we hit a pub.

We did.

It's time to leave Edinburgh for London. I arrived by train in 2025, but I'm going to leave on this train in 1867. It's going to be so cool! Or, steamy, dirty and noisy. #timetravel

Another brilliant moment in Edinburgh. Just travelling is so much less stressful than time travelling.

Edinburgh is know for grim winter weather, but it can be bright and cheery at the same time.

With views like this it's hard to believe I'm not time travelling. I mostly took this photo because I thought it would make an interesting drawing. It's also fun because, in parts, the laneway is little more than shoulder width.

Trying to avoid my temporal trackers in Edinburgh. They probably can't find me because it's dark! Less than 8 hours of daylight. I have found an interesting pub: The Oxford Bar.

Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light raises some interesting points. He suggests the Hindu pantheon could be either people from Earth who are pretending to be gods on a far off planet, or they are people from another planet who found Earth thousands of years ago. Perhaps I should go to India and see.

More than 2,500 years ago Ezekiel had a vision of an Ophanin angel that looked something like the image below. That looks like a spacecraft or time machine to me.

I've been reading about angels. Specifically images of angels as described by the bible. If I go back far enough am I going to run into a Seraphim that looks like this?

I thought you might like this photo of a book cover.

Here's another one.

Arrogant people don't listen. They believe their perspective is the only right one. There's nothing wrong with being confident but you'll be a better person if you actively listen and are open to other people's experiences and ideas.

I've always loved simple charts that illuminate complex ideas. Here is an example.

My visit to Paul Pindar's house in 1600 was fun. The colours were quite vibrant! I can't take pictures in the past, but I did find this one taken just before the building of Liverpool Street Station. #timetravel

Saw the front of Paul Pindar's house today at the V&A in 2024. Built ~1599. I'm going to go and see it in 1600. But first dinner at Go in South Ken, I love the Bo La Lot.
