As a former pilot I've learned to be flexible. In the US, airports report time in UTC, temperatures and dewpoint in Celsius, barometric pressure in inches of mercury, runway visibility in feet, etc. etc.

The nice thing about standards is there are so many of them.

I never remember what the acronym stands for. Also, drivers don't know what they are supposed to do when they encounter one. The HAWK light sequence confuses 95% of drivers and creates hazards for peds and cyclists.
