Yeah you got me. It’s only a point and block total he’s never achieved in a regular season game

Maybe we're all in the final stage of Paul George's debut process and this is purgatory

agree on the rebounding. i think jo's defensive decline has been exaggerated. in the half court he still does a lot with his size and smarts.

I'm not expecting a ton from PG, either. but if he's exactly what he was last year with some expected improvement on open jumpers...that alone would be huge

well it's strange in that yes...in an ideal world you'd redistribute that money. but...they actually look pretty deep and well-constructed overall. and their missing skillsets are almost exactly what PG/Jo provide. they need positional size and shooting.

I was a skeptical after the first five games because the Sixers had such an extreme three-point % disparity.

but that's evened out a lot. and they still look competitive night to night. we're getting closer and closer toward "this is real."

god help me if they do*

*they probably will

which...sadly...is the story of their schedule this year. i think they have the most in the league maybe? which is particularly brutal given their specific health restrictions :(
November 10, 2025 at 4:16 PM
10 games is still a pretty small sample. But if we get to 20-25 games and they're still in the same position...I think you have to reset expectations a little. I'm not saying make an "all-in" trade or anything. But starting looking for small deals to reward the effort so far and keep the momentum.

And the contenderish upside is absolutely still there.

Is it likely they'll be a top 4 seed in the East? No. But if the chances were around 5% when the season started...I'd bump it up to 30-40% now.

They're on a 49-win pace with only *okay* health. That's a huge change from last year.

Nurse: "The Barlow injury...it's like nothing I've ever seen."

Average Philadelphian (dragging deeply on a cigarette and exhaling slowly): "this? ain't even top 5..."
