I know I’ve been quiet on social media. I’ve been writing as much as I can, while I can. My partner and I are expecting our baby to be born any day now so I might still be a little quiet, but I’ll still be writing! My goal to finish my first draft this year still stands. Thank you all so much

I really want to finish writing my book this year. I can't guarantee publishing, let alone editing, but I need to at least get a first draft out. So far I've written a little bit every day, and I plan to keep that going as much as I can. #KofiGoalChallenge #booksky #author #indieauthor #writing

When I got married, I had a savings. I had a safety net. Despite never combining finances, he still managed to take it all and I had nothing left to escape with when I fled with the kids we had together. Everything I had worked so hard for was gone so easily, and that hasn’t changed.

Since I'm new here, I thought I'd introduce myself a little! I'm nonbinary, a parent, a poet, and gardener. I've been writing since I was a preteen, but didn't start keeping anything I wrote until I was older. I've started (and abandoned) several fiction novels, but poetry has been a constant.
